In addition to books, there is a wealth of information about Christian persecution and freedom of religion. This will be an ongoing list of resources that I recommend.
Berkley Center for Religion, Peace and World Affairs. I came across this by happenstance. I was looking at the Georgetown University website for something totally different and came across a link to an interesting article. I clicked on the link, only to find a whole lot of information and articles about religious freedoms. One of my favorites is a short 26-minute documentary called “Under Caesar’s Sword” (2016) that was produced in cooperation with the Notre Dame Center for Ethics and Culture and the Berkley Center’s Religious Freedom Institute. To view the documentary and download a free discussion guide to be used in small groups and churches, visit http://ucs.nd.edu/film/.
